We were out for a night show @ Cinemax Mani Sq and wanted to have dinner before that. Everything was good about this place.
1. The Food Court unlike others, takes cards. That's great!
2. Prices are Very Reasonable.
3. The food quality is good enough and the portions good for more than 1 person.
4. The open air renders a lovely breeze[that's provided by somebody higher up :-), but the good part is they don't charge a premium for that]

We had a family outing with my parents and while returning we planned a very normal, simple dinner. As we were coming back from Hiland Park, we saw the Alibaba on the way and decided to have food there ahead of a Shiraz just beside. We waited foe about 20 mins outside and were deciding the menu of roti and meat. I even asked the attendant to check on our menu which he rwfused saying that they talk menu only inside. When we finally went in and sat for the order, suddenly they said that no breads were available and they can't serve any. We requested them first and then I complained saying that right before us they had served breads and nobody told us outside. We had been waiting for quite sometime then which in this case made no sense for us now. He still grunted saying that they can't serve breads. By then I got irritated and was leaving when my parents and my wife said that they would manage with biriyani. I was not ready to manage. Then they agreed to serve lachcha parantha. This parantha was not at all good. Their mutton boti gravy was also average.

One thing worth mentioning here is that the cost is very nominal. We spent 300 for a dinner for 4 adults.

Overall - not great food, not good behaviour and no ambience at all. Only reason I am not putting a 1 is I want to try some other branch of their before I pass a judgement on the brand.

Whenever I am at Bytes, almost every time, I end up taking a chicken/mutton roll from here. I have rarely had such good rolls in Sector 5. They serve fast, no oil oozing out. Just good enough spicy.

This is an age old place in South Kolkata. I remember going here with my parents when I was in Junior School. Then they had just started the AC Section in 1st floor.

Recently, I took my wife here. She is from North Kolkata and had never been here. However, she got hooked to the taste & cost so much that she insists we go here every time I plan for an eat-out. There's not much to the ambiance, you can still see the age-old ACs. However, there's a newer section section built on the 1st floor as well.

The Oriental Pavillion, Whitefield, Bangalore

I had been visiting this place for the last 2 days. I am in Bangalore for 4 days and wanted to have food that is Indian-Chinese. It is definitely good, as it should be. But there's a topping to it. I had been explained how every preparation is done by the Steward so that I can choose the appropriate. The taste is good, they serve fast, no heavy crowd in weekdays.

Cost - more than just value for money.
I do not give an overall 5/5 as they do not have table napkins.

Chef Inam's Steak House

We were searching for a Steakhouse for a long time and I got to know about this place from one of my friends. I could not find this on Google Map but was told that this is after Golconda hotel. As soon as we crossed Golconda Hotel, we could see the place. Remember, there is no designated parking for this place. Its the standard curb parking by the road. From outside, this would look no better than a bakery on the road side. However, as you enter inside, you would see their laurels on the walls and different kinds of sauces displayed of which you might not have heard of, ever.

When we were ordering, the cook came out to help us as we were not regular beef eaters. He not only helped us with the order, but also gave us some pasta while we were waiting to be served with the main course.

The main course was not just dinner, it was an experience of global standards. Obviously good, it was easy to eat, so juicy red meat, I rarely had, ever, anywhere! And I am counting in restaurants from Dubai & United States in ANYWHERE!

My Advice - Be there, get the experience.... you would savour it for a long time to come!

I was very hungry around 11 PM at night and the only options in Kompally are the road side dhabas at that time. Checked out a couple and tried to find out one which does not serve liquor. Chandini turned out to be the one. The food is great as usual in these dhabas. The waiters were good and all understood Hindi.

Being a Bengali, I pounce on fish dishes and ordered Prawns Masala along with Roti. To my pleasant surprise, the size of the prawns were quite big and half plate was more than enough for me. Total cost was Rs. 200/-. Loved this place and would like to visit again. They told me that they switch off the outer lights at 11:30 PM but the dhaba is open till 1 AM. That was good to hear!!!

We went here on an office lunch party and enjoyed the lunch. The BBQ was not too good, but rest of the food was quite good. The only problem with the BBQ was, i think, the temperature of the charcoal was not high enough to cook lot of sticks.

Overall, I loved it. I have been here earlier and enjoyed then also.

I went there last Saturday in an odd time of around 5 PM for lunch! Expectedly there was nobody in the A/C section apart from a couple. The waiters were relaxing :-). I could place the order very quickly with their assistance and the food was quite good. I loved it! Also, they seemed to be very couteous! I could see them charging the mobile of another customer....

I recommend Pakwaan for a standard lunch anytime!

Went here today, 4 of us from office for a lunch Buffet. We saw a deal on this on snapdeal.com where the price was mentioned as Rs. 650. When we reached there and found out that even without snapdeal discounts, they are serving at Rs. 220 +taxes. So, the actual savings was pretty minimal.

We had called up earlier and made reservations. When we reached, we found out that there was no pace and were kept waiting for aound 45 mins. Also, we heard the waitress saying to other people that the buffet is over. When I tried to ask to ask another waitress whether the buffet was over, she was very rude saying saying that since we had not talked to her earlier, she would not respond. She was a Manipuri and others stated her name as Joynila. Anybody going there, beware of her!!!

Finally we got a table and went for the food. It turned out that they had finished salads, sambar, curd rice, and a couple of other dishes. The non-veg main couses were good, but not exceptional. There is nothing to the ambiance other that a bit of darness. A/C was not working and they stationed a cooler beside our table.

Overall not a good experience!!! But due to the food, I plan to visit here on another month so on a rush free weekday to check whether this was a one off day...

We were deeply heart broken. They did not have A/C, though burrp.com mentioned they had. It is an open-air, on-the-road dhaba type restaurant. They seemed to be catering to the local bengalis, mostly through home delivery.

The food was ok. Radhabhallabhis were cold, tables were small. Not a place to take your non-bengali friend for a first taste of bengali food.

We went there on a Saturday evening, already heart broken from another bengali restaurant. We were badly searching for a good bengali restaurant and thsi one popped up in my mobile search. When we reached here, seemed pretty small, more like stall in a food court. But the food was good. My friend took a bengali platter and I took a helping of Luchi-Aloo posto. Loved it. Even they promptly got a few kancha lankas!!! Apart from the space everything else was ok and the food was good.
Nothing to add to ambience but comfortable experience!!! If you like bengali cuisine, don't miss it!!!

I am a localite and visit this place quite often at different moods - sometimes with my parents, sometimes after a 3 hour cricket nets session and sometimes just to get packed food for my dinner at home. I do not know why, but i have not seen it ever filled even half. However, never was I disappointed with the food. If I needed just some light lunch, I got it. If I was dying with hunger I came out full. Nothing much to the ambiance other than a LCD TV, but the waiters are well behaved and try to help out people. Once though I wanted some specific South Indian dishes and did not get them.
Overall this has mostly responded well to my needs.

This is a restaurant in a Mall with a multiplex and lot is expected. They fail at the basics. Their waiters can't speak anything other than telegu. Neither are they well dressed or well mannered. They do not accept credit cards. They are very to get the food to the table. The seats are cramped. Not everything in the menu is available. So, by the time you manage to order and have your food, you are already grossed out. And the food is nothing exceptional. Very ordinary.

However, this experience is 3months old and I would try it out once again in a month or so to check if they have improved at all.

A standard Domino's Pizza outlet, still differ a bit. They read out options to you at a speed that you can understand, they do not want to unnecessarily stuff things down your your throat. They serve fast and they are very courteous.
Nothing more to the ambience other than 2 LCD TVs.

Very average, like a roadside local restaurant. No ambience, no specialities. They have a restaurant's special biriyani which was supposed to be boneless and they themselves could not spell out any other specialties for it. I found very pieces of chicken in it and was not at all impressed.
